Evidence‑based assessment, formulation and therapy for adults. Commissioned by case managers and rehabilitation teams across Sussex.

Referring to Neuropsychology Sussex

Dr Verity Lawrence accepts referrals primarily from case managers and rehabilitation companies for adults with acquired and traumatic brain injury or other neurological conditions. Her input is typically commissioned as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation programme.

Please note: Neuropsychology Sussex does not accept self‑referrals or offer stand‑alone diagnostic assessments for ADHD or general mental health conditions. For these services, please consult your GP for an appropriate referral pathway.

Referral Criteria

Referrals are suitable for adults who:

  • Have an acquired or traumatic brain injury (confirmed or suspected).
  • Have a neurological condition affecting cognition, emotion or behaviour.
  • Are experiencing difficulties that impact daily functioning.
  • Would benefit from coordinated multidisciplinary rehabilitation.

Referral Process

  1. Initial enquiry. Provide a brief summary of the client’s background, presenting needs, current team members and funding arrangements.
  2. Information review. Dr Lawrence will review the provided information to confirm suitability.
  3. Consultation and planning. Where appropriate, an initial consultation can clarify the focus of neuropsychological input and agree next steps.

As an independent practitioner, Dr Lawrence undertakes all clinical work personally, ensuring a single point of contact throughout.

Reporting and Communication

Written reports are provided following assessment or at key review points. Verity maintains regular liaison with rehabilitation team members, including MDT meetings, to ensure an integrated and collaborative approach.
